The issues of weight gain and weight loss are very sensitive aspects of human life. As a result of the fact that thousands of women have gone through depressive thoughts as a result of countless weight loss programs they embarked upon that failed, Lotus was created to help women lose weight. Lotus is the first online education and community resource dedicated to helping women develop the mindset and behavioural change necessary to maintain weight loss once and for all.

THE BRIEF
Lotus mission is to help 5,000 women break-free of the vicious yo-yo dieting cycle, thus preventing weight regain. They contacted us for a logo that would symbolise their uniqueness in the saturated weight loss industry.  It was also meant to show women struggling with yoyo dieting that there is a long-term solution to their challenges.

WHAT WE DID
To fit their specifications, we designed an elegant and unique logo that portrays the idea of inclusion in a community. The blue lotus was positioned inside a feminine and slab light font to symbolise their customers being fully integrated into the society. We considered the target audience before choosing bright purple as the primary color of the brand identity. We also considered the fact that the purple color has a variety of calming effects on the mind and body.
